3 Quick Apply Full-time 1 day ago Full Job Description Description The Food Service and Hospitality Manager will further the mission of Camp Summit through the oversight of all aspects of food service and hospitality by managing members of the kitchen team, creation of menus to support the dietary needs of campers, staff, volunteers, and guests; and maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining area, cabins, and other buildings to ensure the highest standards of organization and sanitation are met.
Duties & Responsibilities Ensure all aspects of kitchen and dining room are organized and sanitary.
Manage accounts for food and product ordering.
Check-in deliveries making sure that all items listed on invoices are included in the order.
Submit receipts to the corporate office for proper payment.
Create/adjust menus to support special diets and ensure their delivery in a safe and quality manner; to include 3 meals per day and snacks for up to 200 people.
Maintain all kitchen equipment including cleaning/sanitizing schedules.
Write and manage staff schedules, coordinating with Camp Director.
Communicate with families to best support individual dietary needs/concerns of families and campers while at camp.
Oversee the food service budget.
Identify and implement cost savings opportunities including in-kind donations.
Work closely with the Camp Director to ensure the coordination of dietary support in all aspects of camp including Residential Life, Program, and Healthcare teams.
Oversee the recruitment, training, and support of seasonal food service staff.
Ensure daily upkeep and cleanliness of dining areas, restrooms, and other common spaces.
Train and support seasonal staff and volunteers who support food services and hospitality.
Ensure State of Texas requirements, Health Department, and American Camp Association standards are met.
Responsible for cleaning all cabins, restrooms and other areas used during non-camp sessions.
Take inventory of all supplies needed for paper goods and household cleaning.
Order such supplies as needed.
Keep cabins stocked with supplies.
Other duties as assigned Background & Experience Minimum of two years kitchen management or leadership experience ServeSafe Certification Experience developing menus, ordering food to create menus, safe service of menus Experience managing substantial budgets preferred Previous experience organizing and maintaining a commercial kitchen and pantry Experience working with special diets strongly preferred Ability to work in a facility that is smoke free, tobacco free, drug free, and alcohol free Passion for the mission of Camp Summit Job Type:
